The practice
In every discussion this week, ask the least senior relevant person for their view before anyone senior speaks — including you.
Short read
Once a senior view is in the room, the range of acceptable answers narrows and everything after it becomes agreement or dissent rather than independent observation. Reversing the order costs nothing and changes what you hear. This is not about deference or fairness — it is about information quality. The person with two months of experience notices things the person with twenty years has stopped seeing, precisely because nothing has become normal to them yet. That noticing has a short shelf life; you have a window before they adapt to the environment too.
